Freakishly Fragile Sculpture

This freakishly fragile sculpture seemed like a good idea in my head but after the process of gluing each individual toothpick, one on one, and sometimes breaking, I was not so sure anymore. I went through the new Boy & Bear album at least 5 times. Hey, at least the photos turned out pretty good!sculpture 1 My inspirations were from spirals in general. I like the relation of repetitive objects circling each other to create a sense of unity.

I took these photos on an extremely rainy, gloomy day. I envisioned a blue sky against my white sculpture. Sigh. Never expect much from Vancouver weather.
